I'm quite mad, of course. Been that way a while, though I wasn't always, of course. I'm dressed like an "adventurer" of course. Isn't that so, Nigel? Otherwise, can you get anything intelligent from my babbling? There could be pearls of wisdom interspersed of course. But then again, I am quite mad. So one never knows, eh?

Sopwith
smelly, pain-in-the-ass, transdimensional flying camel. he looks like a camel, spits like a camel, stinks like a camel, but isn't really a camel.
Age: None of your business.
Temperament: Haughty and noble.
Species: Unknown. Sopwith comes from a species that exist in many dimensions. In this dimension, they happen to look like flying camels.
Powers: Don't make him mad.
Last seen wearing: Smoldering camel hair.
Enemies: Hates vampires. Has a strong dislike of everyone else. Is tolerant of children.
Telepathic? Yes
Good in a fight? Yes
Bathes regularly? No
History to date: Sopwith was once the captain general of a fleet of flying camels serving an Eastern rajah. But they didn't like the way he treated his elephants, so they went to work for a khan. But they didn't like the way he treated his tigers, so they -- well, you get the idea. Eventually, most of them decided they were wasting their time on humans, especially Eastern ones, and went back to interdimensional space. Since Sopwith had an angry rajah, an angry khan, and some angry caliphs and imams and viceroys gunning for him, he laid low for a while, guiding merchant caravans through the desert. He made a lot of vampire enemies, mostly for blasting and burning them up when they were trying to put in a good night's work. Then he joined a quest at Crossroads, and then he disappeared.

What type of Quest shall we do?
Go after another artifiact? Follow the Bears to Disneyland? Try and save Sci Fi Sites from Vines 2?
What shall we do?

I'd like to see it be an artifact Quest, or maybe a rescue operation of a world/city/town/entity kinda thingy.

OK gang, question for you. I have been playing around at CZ a bit more and have to admit that I like the place. It's a cool set up and it has some nice features.
(whacks herself over the head for being so bloody stubborn)
I was thinking that if we are going to continue Crossroads then CZ would be a good place. 1) Alot of the SFS folks are over there so we can find more of the old community 2) We can set up folders for different stories which will give people more freedom to post the stories that they want. 3) If needed, and only if needed, we can make it invite only. I am hesitant to start out this way because then we will not bring in new posters which is half the fun of this stuff.
What do you think? Are folks interested enough in posting that creating a site there would make sense?

Check it out Nommy. I like the setup here for discussing B5, mainly because I think that the lack of grams and the like tends to lead to more discussion. I think with grams people end up discussing things in messages and not on the board. Which can be fun but decreases the overall conversation.
What I like about CZ is that you can seperate out different boards in one area very easily. Kind of like the cities at SFS. So you create a different board for each of the groups. Makes it easier to keep track of what a given group is doing and decreases overa ll clutter.
Also they have IM's and a chat, which we all know can be helpful in setting up a quest.
Next, we might be able to affiliate with some of the SFS communities that have been st up there, making it easier to keep the community together. It can be set up so that posters in Crossroads, who are not members of the Zocalo, OOOFS, Women's Sewing Circle, can read those boards without being able to post.
Finally, if needed we can make the group invite only. So if people start being twits in posting we will have some degree of control over that.
Overall I think it could be a good move. But it is only really an issue if people start posting in Dragon's Inn. I would not want to do it if we do not have active storylines. Then it is kind of a waste. I also do not ant to do it unless the people who are invovled with Crossroads are in suport of the idea.

I may be slow getting to this topic, but I have arrived.
I have no particular preference as to where the board goes. As for characters - I think Alon was last seen wandering around XR itself, with nothing particular in mind.

this board is too slow to upload XR posts. it takes almost 40 seconds just to upload a message like this.
